Tasquel Privacy Policy
Tasquel is a weekly checklist app for iPhone and iPad, made by John Fentner, individual developer. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.
The short version: Tasquel doesn’t collect personal data. The only thing it ever sends is an optional, anonymous feature survey, and only when you tap Send.
No personal data collection
Tasquel doesn’t collect personal data. There are no accounts, analytics, ads, tracking, or third-party SDKs.
The app’s optional “Coming Soon” survey in Settings sends only the features you tick and any comment you type, anonymously, when you tap Send; nothing that identifies you is collected. Each response is stored with the app version and the date it was received, so the developer can see which features people want most. Please don’t put personal information in your comment.
What stays on your device
Your tasks, categories and settings are stored only on your device, inside the app.
Smart Add runs on your device using Apple Intelligence. What you type into it is processed on the device and isn’t sent anywhere.
This information may be included in your own iCloud or computer backups, depending on your device settings. Those backups are handled by Apple, not by Tasquel.
Calendar access
Calendar access is optional. Tasquel asks for it only when you turn on Show Calendar Events.
When it’s on, Tasquel reads events from the calendars you select and shows them inside the app. Tasquel never changes, creates or deletes events, never saves event data, and never sends it anywhere.
You can turn off calendar access at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Calendars.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app deletes all of its data from your device. Because the developer has no copy of your data, there’s nothing to request or delete on the developer’s side. Survey responses are anonymous, so they can’t be traced back to you.
Children
Tasquel isn’t directed at children, and it doesn’t collect personal data from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
